After much blood, sweat, and tears over a month of sprite editing, i finally finished on redrawing most of the sprites to cover up kasumi's nude. tho, for some reason i feel like its still incomplete, but watever.

im sry to disappoint those who asked me to add or change certain things to kasumi's char, but like i said b4, the only thing im intending to do is edit her sprites wit the little amount of time i hav cuz of my personal life. perhaps if someone else is willing to fulfill they're requests, then pls, be my guest.

i'd like to proudly thank those who hav helped and encouraged me to drag this project on, inspite my lack of patience for having to do a project that had to last over a month . This is for you guys.

reloaded Enjuo's Kasumi bak to rapidshare, also updated kasumi wit a new super. i couldnt include the new sounds i was planning on giving her cuz i still havnt got permission to use them. the ppl im asking sure r taking a long time to answer. also removed the automated AI.

-Her big portrait is too long.

(Maybe it isn't a bug but I thought it was funny) -In training mode when it's 2 kasumi's when you move or attack the dummy the A.I activates.

- "Her" right hand moves kind've awkwardly.
- There is no sound for her foward dash or backdash.
- No KO sound. (when she dies)
- Some hitsounds?
- Maybe afew more attacking sounds?

Other than those this character is pretty solid Monotone, definitely appreciated.

by the way everyone... I notice a few ppls was talking about a nude version extisting.. does anyone have patches? I dont want a nude one but an ACT file or something like that which will give her a nude mode so I can set it to when I press a specific button she will become nude. I just thought that all the same outfits get boring. Thanks.

i hav no clue why the AI activates by itself. besides, i wasnt the one who coded it. all i did was edit sprites. and its hard to tell which right hand ur talking bout, cuz she alternates between hands when she switches between p1 and p2 , and when does it look weird? sounds? i guess i could add in some moaning sounds if u like


well there is a way to make her into a nude version just by holding start and pressing a button when selecting her, but that'll take alot of editing in the sff and cns files to make it work. i would hav a clue on how to do the sff, but i wouldnt know how to edit the cns files wit the proper coding to implement that. in any case, theres a separate sff file that contains her nude form. i dun hav it on me right now, since i accidently replaced it wit the non-nude one, but u can ask some of the ppl here to send it.

If it's the P1 position, the lower hand. What I meant by awkardly is her hand is like stuck in the matrix lol... but I guess it isn't really noticable unless your staring at it. Moaning sounds?

her ai still sucks. all she does is run up and throw you. you can't even counter her sweeping rising leg kick except with a projectile. i've beaten her with svc ryu. using apha counters and projectiles. but non projectile characters that don't have alpha counters will get cheated to death.

it's too bad you couldn't fix up the ai. but graphily she's good.great job. .though i still prefer the nude one

the hentai version is much stronger and can take alot of damage.
yeah croching short kicks work good against her but like i said before ai is too cheap. i like using kim form kof200. sure i can beat her with some uber cheap character but what would be the point? there is no fun in that.

but theres more than one way of beating her. doing tripping moves is only the fastest way i can come up wit when i use any char against her. finding out other ways is just part of the fun, especially if u use a weak char, cuz like i said b4, she aint entirely invincible.

After a bit of delay, Kasumi is now also available on http://randomselect.i-xcell.com/ on the hosted section under Enjuo and MONOTONE. Should make things easier for those that have problems with rapidshare or such.

no trust me. the hentai vesion is much stronger. she has this super move that kills instantly. course it may have been an earlier beta of her. but she had really strong attacks.
well chucking projectiles at her works too.

turns out theres another version of kasumi thats created by a guy named Anonimo. problem is, someone is claiming that Anonimo is the original author of kasumi, and that Enjuo stole credit.

now im confused. the one i hav is credited to Enjuo and is a bit different than Anonimo's kasumi. well, in any case, im taking down the links until i figure out whos the one who actually did most of the coding and ripping of the original kasumi, which ever that may be.

i blame this on myself for not doing enuff research. so anywayz, i apologize for any inconvience this may bring. be bak in a few.

well, i had a chat wit Enjuo. seems that he only was an editor, not the creator. tho the site he got kasumi off of didnt really mention any author names, so he never was able to get permission. too bad, if he did, my first release of kasumi woulda been legit. damn, i knew i shoulda asked him where he ripped the sprites, then i woulda avoided this whole mess from the start .

anywayz, i've already finished rebuilding the sprites using Anonimo's version. all i need now is to contact him. problem is, i hav no clue how i can get in touch wit him, i hav no info on him either.

i wonder if i can just release kasumi under anonimo's name, even witout permission? that would save me the trouble of having to find him...

Geez, that's very disappointing. After the much effort you've put through... and making alot of us satisfied with your accomplishment. Let's just hope, that the real author will reach him and give you permission. Because I for one, truly appreciate your stuff.

Whoever told you that "Anonimo" was the "creator" played a big joke on you Monotone!
I'm around the MUGEN word for about 6 years now, I remmember the day Kasumi was released and believe me, the creator was NEVER know, he never claimed credit for making her, and she spread the net that way...
I have the orinal nude version here, no docs, no info on the .def file...
And by the way, I must say, this version is an UPDATE, that's why people was noticing differences from the nude version, she is overall improved, sounds and gameplay are refined...

By the way, she has 3 super/hyper moves, 2 of them are CPU only because they are commented on the CMD, I have unlocked them for normal player use, if enough people want I could post the updated .cns file here...

I think this was not a good idea, updating an older/not so playable version... I would advice you to try updating the latest one, that you released. Oh, don't forget that she has THREE supers, TWO are locked for player use, but I've UNLOCKED them.

PS:. You leaved a copy of her SFF file on her folder, I tought it was the nude SFF, but how surprised I was when I saw that only the GET HITS are still on their nude form

ya, thats where that guy got the idea of the author being Anonimo i guess. he misunderstood like the most of us. so, unless someone can giv me an email of the original author, i'll leave the links up later, after i get the last bit of permissions from other ppl.

u can expect a more complete kasumi when she comes bak online, cuz i updated some of her coding and added some sounds that everyone was complaining bout. sry, couldnt fix her cheap AI, dunno how, but i did manage to remove the AI that automatically activates during Training Mode. oh, and i also included the new super, that should giv her some more edge and wat not.

Please notice that THERE IS NO INFO like: the mugen version, character version, or creator name. Why? BECAUSE SHE ORIGINALY IS A 20000101 DOSMUGEN version character.
There was no such parammeters for the .def file on 0101 DOSmugen and when she was released there was no creator home page, only a link spread on news sites and foruns...

She is an OLD character, released back in 2000 or 2001 if my memory is not playing any tricks on me. That buffyslayerz24@yahoo.com guy is the former Planet Mugen's owner, and got she like everyone else did, and hosted her on Planet Mugen, it doesn't matter who added that on her .def file, but certainly it was not there when she was released!

PS:. I hope any of you are old enough on the scene to know what a 0101 character means, she was developed for a really old version of MUGEN, and everyone that has her needed to convert her for the "newer" MUGEN versions (to the records: 06,27,2000 when huge character coding updates to the engine where added by Elecbyte).
