 wonders of emulation and I've got a few questions.

Perhaps a separate forum for stuff that's neither characters or backgrounds, both in the Portuguese and English forums - or at least chang the name of the BG forums so more stuff can be released and discussed there, like in the old Mugen Dev.

Once in a while some people decide to create stuff like screenpacks, lifebars, intros, endings, or even new tools, but they won't see a section for them in the main MGBR forums... yet those thing are mentioned in the main MGBR site when they're released... An extra forum might help close the gap between the site and the forum in that aspect, since creators of all sorts are entitled to comment on their work.

I've recently made a humble palette for Mouser's Hon Fu, but I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing that might be worth releasing to the general public - with an extra forum for miscelaneous releases and/or WIPs, I might feel encouraged to sneak in my beginner's work...

DeLeTeBR: If the sprite edit forum is at the portuguise forum, how about the sprite edits in the english forum. For mugen fans have some art of the creations such as feye's or ironmugen's. That would be the best soulution to put the forum better because I usually don't speak portuguise at the time right now, but I speak french and english.

Anyway. I just registered here, and when I filled the form... I was sent to the rules page. Which, unfortunately, was in Portuguese. Would you mind posting the same rules, in English, within that same page?

One other thing. I want to use an avatar of my own, but it won't let me use PNG files. The file has too many colors, and if I save it as a JPG it'll be distorted.

PNG wasn't in the alowed images in posts, now it is, thank's for your comment.

Sorry, but I still can't use a PNG image as an avatar. Odd, since at another ikonboard I go to they've had no problems at all... *shrugs*

I have a couple of suggestions to make the forum better. ou might want to add a separate help forum for those who are having trouble trying to run mugen in windows xp. I've been trying to run mugen on my computer but it has been telling me quite frequently that I need a vesa driver.

Anyone who knows how to fix this (i.e. a patch for xp, a way of getting around this) would be really bitchin'. Oh, and yes I have tried the advice that was on the main site but it was no help. All that it managed to do for me was make the "you need a vesa driver" error message pop up without dos asking me of I wanted to change resolution settings. And whenever I try running the aplication for the vesa driver, the application whould shut of dos like if I didn't even opened the application in the first place.

Again, it would be really great if the forum had a sub-forum for those who are having touble running mugen on xp. And anyone who could help me with this problem would be praised.

Also, I've been trying to upload my avitar and I am running trough some trouble. Try to fix this minor problem as soon as you can.

Thanks alot guys, keep up the kick @$$ work on both the site and the forum. It's looking to be the best mugen forum out on the net.

Oh, I've tried the advice on the MGBR main site. I'm afraid that my problem has not really changed. It keeps telling me the same thing: that I need a vesa driver. I'm not really too crazy about drivers, heck if I know much about them, but I believe that I probably have to get a new video card.

But for some reason, xp other xp users are able to run mugen on their computer. So why can't I? I guess I probably have to either configure something or get a new video card that would allow me to play mugen.

What kind of video card do the windows xp users have anyway? I'm probably going to have to ask Faye, KOF orochi, and so on to see if I need to change my card.

Oh, well. Great job on the forum DeLeTe, you and Loona both do wonders. Keep up the excellent work. ecause you guys deserve recognition for all of your trouble for keeping this forum on its best.
